Who in history is similar to Hecate? Explain your choice thoroughly and use the text of the play to make your comparison.
Two Witches, One Goal
‘’Double Double, toil and trouble;/ fire burn and cauldron bubble!’’(Act 4. scene 1. 10-11) (4.1.10-11), echo the cries of evil and deception. Who better to depict such characters of complete malice and detestation than a figure that we all know only too well, Hillary Clinton. Clinton is in many ways a Hecate of our time, being a power hungry figure of authority, much like Hecate was. In addition, both care little for the lives of others, bring pro-abortion for as long as time itself (What do you mean here? This phrasing is awkward.), and in Hecate’s case relishing the idea of bringing Macbeth to his knees in the worst possible way.

Admittedly, everyone loves the idea of having a lot of power and authority in a world like ours. After all, power means control, and the concept of having some control over what happens in this ever growing chaotic world isn’t exactly easy to resist. However, there are certain extremes that can, however wrong, be breached. In Macbeth, Hecate was furious when she found out that the three witches proceeded to plot Macbeth’s destruction without her knowledge. Greedily wanting to pitch in on the fun, Hecatebrews up ideas and other malicious deeds with the other witches. In other words, Hecate seems to take it to the next level, instilling ideas as to bringing about Macbeth’s defeat that would have otherwise been nonexistent. Such (Awkward word choice) is comparable to Hillary Clinton, a figure so focused on getting the position of power that she seems to crave so badly that she will do whatever it takes to attain it. Was it simply enough to be labeled as the second most powerful political figure, only having to answer to her husband, the President of the United States? Never! Second place simply will not do in her eyes. Through deception, greed and general lies, Hillary Clinton wishes to only further her political agenda to become the President of the United States, and the most powerful person on this great earth.

This is not the only similarity that Hecate and Hillary share,(Run-on sentence) there are also many more.
In Macbeth when the three witches confront Hecate(,)she is mad at them for not including her in the torturing of Macbeth. Hecate here is showing her desires and showing that she has no care or remorse for human kind. It is just a game and mere joy for Hecate to see humans suffer and eventually die. Hillary Clinton in many of these aspects resembles Hecate. Hillary has been a staunch supporter of Pro-Choice and is just fine with the fact the millions of innocent babies are being killed every year. Hillary has made her stance very clear that she believes it is a women’s (woman's) choice to decide if their (her) child lives or dies. This is clearly proving her little remorse for human kind and how she believes she should decide a human’s fate.(Interesting point)
The last but certainly not least similarity between these two figures of evil is that both are women, who are feared by many to be in power. Hecate in the play was known as the most evil and supreme witch of them all, even the three other witches feared her. Hecate rules her servants by fear and does not abide by anyone else’s rules. Hillary Clinton is the same way. Many people in America classify Hillary as a polarizing figure in our society and fear her going into office. She was once one of the most powerful figure heads in the world and is now trying to reach better heights to further her power. If she becomes President many fear she will destroy and nationalize businesses and run the country by her whim, not the people’s. Hecate and Hillary are both in positions of power and will do anything to keep it. (good explanation)
Hecate, the most evil and supreme witch in the epic tragedy of Macbeth(,) is comparable to many figures of our time, perhaps none better than Hillary Clinton. In Macbeth, Hecate tells the witches what to do and is responsible for the downfall of Macbeth. In conclusion, what makes Hecate so similar in character is also what makes Hillary corrupt and equally evil in real-life society. Perhaps in an effort to mirror the image of Hecate, Hillary demonstrates the same unquenchable lust for power and glory that for so long has been the sole motivator for Hillary's actions. Of course, respect in (is) indeed due to both characters, as they both maintain a position of high power. However, it is the seemingly endless desire to become more and more powerful that makes their flaws known to the world, and thus, makes them similar in almost every way.
